30m (98ft) above the National Highway Route 34 sits the incredible structure that is the Bang Na Expressway.
Finished in 2000 it was for a while the longest bridge in the world but no longer as the Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge in China is almost three times its length. But then the Bang Na Expressway is not always recognised as an official bridge due to the fact that it does not really cross any large body of water except for the Bang Pakong River.
The elevated highway has 6 lanes and required 1.8 million cubic metres of concrete to construct. The areas where the tolls are situated, the highway becomes a huge 12 lane super highway.
